Sheikh Jassim is reportedly considering offering a role to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford – if he wins his takeover battle for Manchester United.
The Qatari’s hopes of taking over at the club have increased in the last week since he made a fifth-and-final offer for the club.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe had been the frontrunner as he offered the Glazers the opportunity to remain at the club as shareholders.

But, Jassim’s last bid values the Manchester club at around £5bn and the pendulum has now swung in his favour.
The Qatari has set-up the Nine Two Foundation, which was listed as UK company only last week and is a nod to the class of ’92.
But in a bid to win over United fans, Jassim will seek to include club legends in roles at the theatre of dreams.
According to the Mirror, Ole Solskjaer is in line for a return to the club in some capacity.
The Norwegian was sacked as Man United manager in November 2021 after a poor run of form.
Solskjaer guided the Red Devils to third and second-place finishes during his two full seasons at Old Trafford, and is a club legend for the ten years he spent at United as a player.
In an interview with the Athletic last month, Solskjaer floated the idea of a return to United.
‘I’ve got another job in me, if it’s the right chance and exciting enough,’ Solskjaer said.
‘There are so many clubs, but I’m not going to work just for the sake of working. It has to be something special, a new culture, or a club that really excites me.
‘Or maybe they will want me back at the club [United] in some capacity, who knows?’.
