John Terry predicts that Real Madrid will make a deep run in the current Champions League season, a sentiment echoed after the Chelsea legend assisted in finalizing the draw for the round of 16.
The Spanish powerhouse smoothly navigated the group stage, securing victories in all six matches, and is now set to encounter the German team RB Leipzig in a two-legged clash in mid-February.

Under the management of Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid maintains its status as the most successful team in the history of the competition, boasting an impressive record of 14 titles.
Terry envisions that by June 1, beneath the iconic Wembley arch, Real Madrid’s title count will increase to a remarkable 15.
Speaking as part of UEFA’S draw, the Chelsea icon claimed: “I think team-wise you have to look at Real Madrid.
“For me, I think they have been fantastic, probably for the last seven or eight years in the competition and are always there. I think Bellingham has been incredible as an individual and they obviously have a fantastic manager in Carlo who I worked alongside for many years at Chelsea.
“He’s a great man manager, so the players love him, great tactically and I think they will go a long way.”
In the ongoing competition, Arsenal and Manchester City are the two remaining English teams. The Gunners, making a return to the knockout rounds for the first time since 2017, are set to face Porto in their quest for a spot in the last eight.
Although every team at this stage deserves respect, Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, might view the draw against Porto as more favorable than the prospect of facing the formidable Paris Saint-Germain, also in pot two.
These teams have a history, having met in the 2009/10 edition, where Arsenal emerged victorious with a 6-2 aggregate score, fueled by a commanding 5-0 win at the Emirates in the second leg.
It’s widely known that Chelsea, led by Terry, is the only London team to have lifted the Champions League. Arsenal’s current squad, sitting atop the Premier League after winning their European group, aspires to change that narrative.
However, one notable setback in Arteta’s tenure is his team’s performance in continental competitions.
The young Arsenal boss has yet to surpass expectations in Europe, with defeats against Olympiacos and Villarreal serving as disappointing chapters in Arsenal’s recent history.
