Arsenal fans are in disbelief upon discovering the club’s highest earner, who is raking in £275,000 per week. This revelation has sparked a social media meltdown, leaving many Gunners supporters frustrated and bewildered.
In the aftermath of the news, some fans are demanding the removal of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu.

The surprising disclosure came from Arsenal transfer expert David Ornstein during The Athletic Football Podcast, unveiling Kai Havertz as the top earner for the Gunners.
The decision to spend £65m on acquiring the Germany international, who had experienced three lackluster years at Chelsea, raised eyebrows among north Londoners.
Arteta’s attempt to transform Havertz into a midfielder, rather than a forward, has seen him contribute five goals and one assist in 30 games for Arsenal since his summer transfer.
‘He’s on a high salary,’ Ornstein said. ‘His basic salary is in the region of £275k-a-week. That has matched what he was on at Chelsea.’
Arsenal fans reacted to the news on X, with @aliftbll posting: ‘Lost the title to [Manchester] City and they thought the way to bridge that gap was to spend £65m on Kai Havertz and give him the highest salary in the squad?
‘Get Arteta and Edu out man. We’re not seeing the promised land with those two donkeys.
‘Arteta is at fault for requesting his signing [and] Edu is at fault for the fee/salary etc. They’re both at fault. Stop defending and excusing Arteta.’
Another Gunners fan, @Sakkanel, posted: ‘No matter how you look at it. This makes no sense. ‘We are doing him a favour by trying to resurrect his career, he shouldn’t be the highest paid especially after costing 65m.
‘The least a manager should do if he is willing to spend 65m on a Chelsea flop and make him the highest paid is to at least play him in his most natural and best position to give the player a chance of justifying the outlay.’
A third Arsenal supporter, @cashmoneyk11, said: ‘This manager is a joke this what dumb Arsenal fans believe is gonna make us successful buying players off names and hype when they are bang average.
‘[Emile] Smith Rowe didn’t cost us a penny and he’s way better suited in midfield then Havertz, Havertz plays left back for his country.’
@SHAURI_10 posted: ‘Arteta needs to be investigated, the Havertz deal smells fishy for so many reasons. If I can say what I want to say now Elon [Musk] will suspend me forever.’
Another Arsenal supporter, @penaldo_pionel, said: ‘Screw that, Kai needs to be sold. We are much better without Kai in the team.
‘I’m not going to be patient with a player earning more than [William] Saliba, Gabriel [Magalhaes] and [Bukayo] Saka.
‘Players are going to start asking for higher wages because of his over-inflated salary for such little return.’
