Chelsea are keen to sign Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer if they can sell Kepa, according to reports.
Frank Lampard has grown frustrated with his Spanish goalie and will reportedly encourage Chelsea’s hierarchy to land the German ace.
Before coronavirus put a temporary stop to the Premier League action, the Chelsea manager had banished Kepa to the bench and promoted veteran goalkeeper Willy Caballero to the starting lineup in his place.
And in the next transfer window, he will try to get rid of the Spain international for good and replace him with Manuel Neuer, according to German news outlet Bild.
Kepa Arizabalaga has been linked with a return to Spain two years after his record £71.6m tramsfer move from Athletic Bilbao.
And Neuer is already considering leaving Bayern because the German giants have a deal to sign Schalke shot-stopper Alexander Nubel, 23, from next campaign.
After a long-term foot injury, the German keeper icon feels he is still has the ability of keeping his No1 jersey for years to come.
However, According to France Football, a row has broken out between Neuer and the club after Nubel’s capture.
The 34-year-old has 18 months left on his deal and has been a constant presence for the German champions since his signing from Schalke in 2011.
Neuer has kept 15 clean sheets from 37 matches in all competitions this campaign while Kepa has kept only eight from 33.
