Borussia Dortmund have rejected Chelsea’s attempt to include two players as part of their offer to sign Erling Haaland this summer, according to reports.
The Norwegian star is Chelsea’s top target to bolster his attack, while the Blues owner Roman Abramovich is also intent on bringing the winger to the club.
Dortmund, however, are insistent that Haaland will remain with them for at least one more campaign as any possible deal for the player would cost Chelsea in the region of £150million.
According to Sky Germany, the London side have attempted to offset that cost by offering Dortmund the chance to sign Tammy Abraham or Callum Hudson-Odoi as part of the deal for the player.
However, Dortmund have reportedly ‘waved off’ Chelsea’s proposal. Tuchel’s side are already open to selling Abraham this summer and they are holding out for a £40m transfer fee with West Ham and Aston Villa interested.
The Champions League holders are also willing to listen to offers for Hudson-Odoi, who also struggled to secure a regular role after Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as manager in January.
Haaland, meanwhile, returned to training this week after his summer break and Dortmund’s head of first-team football, Sebastian Kehl has stressed that the plan has not changed regarding the Norway international’s future.
‘I have also read about the sum, but for us nothing has changed on this matter,’ Kehl said this week.
‘We are planning firmly with Erling, this has also been clearly communicated to him and his advisor. ‘He wants to play football, he feels comfortable with us and is hungry to score many goals for us this season.’
