Borussia Dortmund have told Chelsea they have no plans to allow Christian Pulisic leave in the January transfer window.
Last week, reports emerged that Chelsea were set to win the race to sign the USA international, who also attracted interest from Liverpool and Tottenham.
Maurizio Sarri’s side are reportedly confident of completing a deal in the region of £70 million for the 20-year-old, who has played 11 games for Dortmund this campaign.
But the German club are unwilling to allow the winger leave in the upcoming window.
‘We have known these rumours for many years,’ Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc told Kicker.
‘We are planning with him at least until the end of the season.’
Pulisic, whose current deal with Dortmund expires in 2020, has already conceded that he would be open to a move to the Premier League.
‘The Premier League, is where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why one day I won’t play here.
‘We are having a great year at Dortmund and I am enjoying every moment of that.
‘Then when the time comes for me to talk in the breaks about my future, that’s when those things will happen.’
