Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to learn from Edinson Cavani.
The 33-year-old forward his scoring instincts with two well finished efforts in a remarkable 3-2 comeback victory against Southampton on Sunday.
Cavani emerged from the bench at the start of the second half and his movement was too much for the Southampton side to deal with, despite their two-goal lead over the Red devils.
The striker has already been written off by many before his arrival at Old Trafford, with some saying it was a panic signing given the Uruguay international hadn’t played football for seven months.
But Ferdinand says Cavani possesses the type of killer instinct that has been missing at the club and he’s urged the other strikers to learn from his game.
‘The amount that Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will learn off this guy and his movement alone is unbelievable,’ Rio Ferdinand told the FIVE YouTube channel.
‘It’s worth having him just for that to improve these boys but they’ve got to be willing to learn. They’ve got to want to learn.

‘They’ve got to look at Edinson Cavani and say: ‘I want that in my game. How am I going to do that? Analysis man at the club can you give me some videos of Cavani’s movement?’
‘That’s the type of stuff you’ve got to do to improve. Self-analyse, self-reflect. Look a yourself. Who can I learn from? He’s the man.
‘Over 200 goals at PSG listen, he knows what to do. I’d be tapping into that massively.’
