Bruno Fernandes involved in car crash ahead of Man Utd’s clash with Liverpool

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been involved in a car crash before his side’s Premier League game against Liverpool.

The Portuguese forward is not believed to have suffered any serious injury from the incident and is expected to take part in training with his teammates later the same day on Monday.

Fernandes is also set to start for United’s trip to Anfield on Tuesday evening.

Pictures from the incident reveal huge damage to the passenger side of Fernandes’ left-hand drive Porsche.

Meanwhile, another vehicle which was involved in the incident had crashed into a small wooden fence in the front garden of a house.

Emergency crew attended the scene, while Fernandes was pictured speaking with a member of the fire service after the car crash.

When asked about Fernandes after the crash, United boss Ralf Rangnick said on Monday: ‘Yes, he was training with the team obviously the accident happened on the way to Carrington.

‘As far as I know, no one was injured. He was ok and he’ll be ok for tomorrow.’

Fernandes has played a huge role at Old Trafford since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in a £47 million deal in 2020.

The playmaker has scored 49 goals and provided 39 assists in 120 games for United and has won the club’s Player of the Year award for the last two campaigns.
