Granit Xhaka’s agent confirms he wants Arsenal exit and has agreed Hertha Berlin transfer

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has already agreed a deal to join Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, his agent Jose Noguera has revealed.

The 27-year-old – who was stripped off his captaincy at the Emirates last month – has been the subject of a £21.3million offer by the club.

Xhaka started in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw away against Bournemouth today where he was one of the club’s standout players in the game.

But even though he has forced his way back into the starting lineup, with manager Mikel Arteta a huge fan of his, the Swiss midfielder looks to be on his way out of North London.

Speaking to Blick, Noguera claimed that the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach star is keen to move to Hertha Berlin, but the German club are yet to agree a deal with Arsenal.

He said: “Look, I will say it frankly and honestly, we are in agreement with Hertha BSC and would like to go to Berlin.

“We have told Arsenal’s club boss Raul Sanllehi and sporting director Edu Gaspar, as well as the new coach Mikel Arteta.

“Arsenal was informed about all the steps, the player and Hertha are clear. It’s only about the transfer fee of the clubs.”

He also added that Hertha have offered the gunners a fee of £21.3m for the services of Xhaka.

Noguera claims that Xhaka – who is tied down at Arsenal until 2023 – has been left furious with Arteta’s comments about how much he values him as a player.

Before the ex-Everton midfielder told Granit Xhaka in private that he can leave the Emirates in the summer.
