Emile Heskey is expecting Chelsea and Liverpool to push Manchester City all the way for the Premier League title and expects Leicester City and Manchester United to fight it out for fourth place.
Heskey, the former Liverpool and Leicester striker, still believes that Man City will defend their title despite a poor start to the campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in their opening game of the season, while their main rivals all picked up three points.
Liverpool comfortably defeated Norwich City 3-0, Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace by the same scoreline, while Manchester United hit five past Leeds United.
And Heskey expects those four clubs to clinch Champions League qualification come the end of the campaign.
‘For me, it’s Man City again,’ Heskey told TalkSport. ‘Even after the Spurs game I still think you know what you’re going to get with them, they’re arguably slow starters but once they get going it’s hard to stop them.
‘I think for Liverpool it’s just getting the momentum. They’ll be there or there abouts. ‘I still have them and Chelsea in that three-horse race really. That’s my views on it.’

Asked who would complete the league top four, Hesky laughed: ‘And Leicester! ‘Look, United will be there or thereabouts. Leicester will want to break into that and I hope they do.
‘But you’re probably saying United will be in there, really.’
If Heskey was proven right with his prediction about United, it would, of course, mean that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would have dropped two places on last season’s second-place finish.
