Jorginho’s agent has revealed that the player has attracted interest from rival teams but wants to open talks with Chelsea over a new deal.
The midfielder has established himself as a vital part of the Chelsea team and played a key role in their Champions League triumph last campaign.
Jorginho has also been important for Italy in their Euro 2020 campaign so far, with the player helping guide his nation to Sunday’s final where they will play either Denmark or England.
Jorginho’s current contract with Chelsea expires in 2023 and his agent, Joao Santos, is keen to negotiate a new deal with the club’s director Marina Granovskaia.
‘Today, Jorginho’s valuation is around €50 million (£42.8m). If a team arrives… obviously he has made it to many finals,’ Santos told Radio Marte.
Asked if he had been approached by another team, Santos said: ‘Yes, but our first thought is to speak to Marina Granovskaia about the renewal.
‘This is certainly a very important moment in his career, he has been waiting for it for 20 years.’

Meanwhile, former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri believes Jorginho will be a frontrunner to win the Ballon d’Or if Italy win the Euros this summer.
‘He is a refined player, probably not understood by everyone,’ said Sarri.
‘You have to set your eyes on him and only watch him in the game. He is so good and intelligent that he makes everything seem easy, rarely anything spectacular remains in your eyes. This is its greatness.’
