Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has praised Victor Osimhen and revealed that he recommended the striker to Napoli.
Osimhen has been one of the best players in Serie A this campaign with 18 goals for the league leaders.
The Nigeria international is one of Manchester United’s main targets ahead of the summer window, with Erik ten Hag keen to sign a new striker once the season is over.
Napoli are demanding at least £100m for the 24-year-old and Jorginho says he was impressed by the striker’s displays against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.
‘They are doing incredible things, honestly, I didn’t know the guy playing on the wing [Khvicha Kvaratskhelia],’ Jorginho told DAZN Italia when asked about Napoli’s superb run.
‘I knew Osimhen. I had played against him in the Champions League and he had given a hard time to our defenders.
‘[Cristiano] Giuntoli [Napoli’s director] called me before signing him and I told him to sign him straight away, he is very promising and is doing really well.

Meanwhile, Jorginho has named Gonzalo Higuain as the best striker he’s ever played with during his entire career.
‘The way he struck the ball… he knew where the goalkeeper was without even watching,’ said the Arsenal midfielder.
‘He was one of the best I’ve played with. Along with Luca [Toni].’
