The agent of Napoli midfielder Jorginho says Chelsea are an ‘important and interesting club’ but says he’s not been in contact with the club.
A host of European clubs are believed to be in the chase for Jorginho with Manchester City leading the race to sign the Italian midfielder.
Pep Guardiola was blown away by the midfielder’s performance during City’s 3-2 win against Napoli in the Champions League last season and pulled out of a deal for Shakhtar Donestsk’s Fred because of his display.
However, Joao Santos says there’s been no progress on City’s deal and hinted about Chelsea.
‘Today’s offer [from City]? You have to ask Guintoli [Napoli director],’ Santos told Calcio Napoli.
‘I’m not negotiation so I cannot say anything because I don’t know if the negoatiation is moving forward.
‘Chelsea have never had contact with me so I cannot talk, they’ve never called me.
‘They’re an important and interesting club – like Barcelona and Real Madrid – but they’ve never called me.
‘I’ll be in Italy this week. In the transfer market things can mature in 15 hours or in 15 days.’

Guardiola is not expected to make a lot of changes to his squad this summer and City are closing in on Riyad Mahrez who will join alongside one midfielder.
