Marcus Rashford criticises Man Utd players after win over PSG

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford says there’s plenty of room left for improvement in the team after their 2-1 victory against Paris Saint-Germain.

Rashford scored a 87th minute winner at the Parc des Princes to give the Red devils the perfect start to their Champions League group.

Manchester United’s win was well deserved but they had plenty of chances in the game to snatch all three points, with Rashford, Fernandes and Anthony Martial all wasting good chances.

Rashford was delighted to guide the club to all three points but he believes they need to be more clinical if they’re to progress into the latter parts of the Champions League.

‘I thought we did well today in stages,’ Rashford told MUTV. ‘Some of the decision-making in the first half and even in the second half was poor in the final third – that’s one thing we can work on and improve on.

‘The manager got it spot on today. The system allowed us to express ourselves going forward but also to be tight defensively, which I think we did as well as we could have.

‘I think it’s a big win but we’ve got a lot to build on and improve on as well.’

After a poor start to the campaign, United have won back-to-back matches after the international break and the goals they have conceded in those games have been own goals.

United will play Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday and Solskjaer will be hoping that Harry Maguire can be fit in time to face Lampard’s side..

Axel Tuanzebe put in an outstanding display in his first game in ten months in Maguire’s absence but the defender may struggle to play a second 90 minutes this week.
