Lautaro Martinez is open to joining Arsenal this summer transfer window as the Gunners weigh up a move for the Argentina international.
The Inter Milan forward is available for transfer this summer as the Italian club attempt to try and balance their books.
Arsenal, who were in contact with the Serie A side over the sale of Hector Bellerin, have enquired about his availability and expect him to be available, should the right offer be placed on the table.
According to The Athletic, it would be a simple deal to accomplish, with Inter desperate for a cash injection as they look to become a more sustainable team.
While the Gunners have long held an interest in signing Martinez – who almost completed a £100m transfer move to Barcelona in the past – a move has previously been considered unrealistic.
As such, he was not even on their original list of summer transfer targets but the chance has presented itself to sign the 23-year-old.
Martinez – who won the Serie A with his club and the Copa America with his country last campaign – is open to a move to England and is interested in signing for Arsenal.

He was due for a big salary jump in Inter Milan and had agreed a new contract with them but their financial restrictions have meant they were unable to complete the deal.
A move to the Emirates would see him earn significantly more, with his Inter team-mates Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen and Alexis Sanchez all earning more than double the £2.1m-a-year he’s currently been paid.
The Gunners are not the only English side who are monitoring Martinez’s situation. Tottenham Hotspur are also linked with the Argentine, but only if they end up losing Harry Kane.
For Arsenal, a move could be majorly dependent on Alexandre Lacazette’s future as they look to raise enough funds.
