Ivory Coast secured a 2-1 victory over Mali, and the Super Eagles triumphed against Angola, earning spots in the tournament’s last four.
Nigeria is scheduled to play against South Africa in the initial semifinal on Wednesday evening, while Ivory Coast is set for a clash with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mikel’s foresight implies a potential rematch between the two teams, as they previously faced off in the group stage.
Jose Peseiro’s team secured a narrow victory over the Elephants with a lone goal.
Speaking on The Obi One podcast, Obi was asked whether it will be a Ivory Coast vs Nigeria final, he said, “I think so. I was thinking about it the other day and I was thinking that we managed to beat them in the group stage and they were on the verge of leaving, the tournament and all of a sudden you know, they are back in it and now.
“They have got a wind with them and now are playing prettily okay but not so well, but they have started to win games and now if they can manage to get to the final, who knows?”
