Premier League teams ranked by injuries as Man Utd & Liverpool problems revealed

The injury rankings of Premier League clubs have exposed the fitness struggles of Liverpool and Manchester United.

Dealing with injuries is an unavoidable aspect of the game, impacting teams to varying degrees.

However, fans often assert that their team has been disproportionately affected by injuries compared to others, despite injuries being a common occurrence for all teams.

This season, there has been extensive discussion on how injuries have influenced the Premier League title race, the pursuit of European qualification, and the battle against relegation.

According to data from Premier Injuries, Sky Sports has disclosed that Newcastle United has been the hardest-hit Premier League side by injuries this season.

Eddie Howe has grappled with 29 distinct injuries in his squad during this term, resulting in a staggering 1,333 days lost due to injuries since the season commenced on August 11.

Harvey Barnes, Sven Botman, Nick Pope, Jacob Murphy, Elliot Anderson, Matt Targett, Joe Willock, Callum Wilson, and Joelinton have endured lengthy spells on the sidelines.

In the 2023/24 season, both Brighton and Manchester United have grappled with 28 injuries, with the latter facing the Manchester derby against Man City this weekend without their in-form striker, Rasmus Hojlund.

Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, and Chelsea have all encountered 27 injury setbacks this season.

Despite losing key players like Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Trent Alexander-Arnold to recent injuries, Liverpool currently leads the table.

On the other hand, Wolves and West Ham have each endured only 13 injury concerns, making them the least affected teams in terms of injuries.
