Footage of Bruno Fernandes leaving the stadium will worry Man Utd fans ahead of Man City game

Disturbing video footage of Bruno Fernandes surfaced online following Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph over Nottingham Forest.

The victory secured United’s place in the quarter-finals, with a 1-0 win against Forest on Wednesday.

Casemiro nodded in Fernandes’ free-kick in the 89th minute, paving the way for an anticipated showdown against long-standing adversaries Liverpool.

Manchester United bounced back to victory following a 2-1 loss to Fulham in the Premier League.

The Red Devils will continue their league journey on Sunday, squaring off against local rivals Manchester City.

Leading up to their clash at the Etihad, Erik ten Hag’s squad appears to have suffered an injury setback, with Fernandes seen limping as he departed the City Ground.

The 29-year-old had been uncertain for the game due to a knock but managed to complete the full match.

Incredibly, he has yet to miss a single game for Manchester United due to injury.

The footage of the Portuguese player limping after his team’s cup victory sparked discussions among fans online.

One X user wrote: “Say whatever you want about Bruno but if this whole squad had his commitment, we wouldn’t be in the position we are in. Never missing a United game through injury is mad. Plenty of other players use any hint of an injury as an excuse to get a game off over the recent years.”

A second tweeted: “Bruno is one of the most committed players we’ve ever had.

A third added: “Just like Marcus Rashford did for so long, this guy plays through so much pain to show out for United.”

A fourth said: “Bruno Fernandes was getting lumps kicked out of him all game by the Forest players. They were clearly targeting an injury he sustained against Fulham. Baffles me some of the narratives around Bruno, he plays no matter what. Proper soldier. He’s a great captain for United.”

Samuel Luckhurst, however, expects him to start against Man City.

Ten Hag’s charges trail Pep Guardiola’s team by 15 points ahead of their crunch meeting.
