Tuchel defends Romelu Lukaku’s performance after Chelsea’s defeat to Man City
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has defended Romelu Lukaku’s display in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues suffered their first defeat of the new Premier League campaign as Gabriel Jesus’ second-half goal sealed the three points for Pep Guardiola’s City at Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku cut an isolated figure in Chelsea’s attack and even failed to register a single shot on goal against the Premier League side.
But Tuchel is adamant that the Belgian star, who has scored four goals in seven matches since returning to Chelsea, was not to blame for their struggles in attack.
