On Monday night, Chelsea will face Newcastle United in a Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
Despite their strong start to 2024, Chelsea finds themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League table. Additionally, they missed out on securing European football after losing to a youthful Liverpool side in the EFL Cup final.
Last weekend, Chelsea narrowly avoided another setback when Axel Disasi’s late header salvaged a draw against Brentford, who had taken the lead through goals from Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa.
In contrast, Newcastle United got back to winning ways by defeating Wolves 3-0, lifting them to ninth in the Premier League standings. They now sit four points ahead of Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
