Chelsea are still negotiating with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of Kai Havertz, despite the German midfielder pushing for a move to the Premier League club.
Chelsea view Havertz as their priority summer transfer target and the player has his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge.
He wants to play in the Champions League football next camapign and feels ready to make the step up to England.
Personal terms have already been agreed between Kai Havertz and Chelsea, with the player keen to sign a contract that will run until June 2025.
However, both teams are about €20m (£18m) apart in their valuations of the Germany international, according to reports.
The player and his agents are pushing for the transfer to go through but Bayer Leverkusen will not reduce their price.
And the German side will not allow the transfer move to drag on until the summer transfer window closes in October.

They are willing to allow him sign for Chelsea but they want the deal done as soon as possible and on their terms too.
Negotiations are still ongoing and the London club are putting together a deal with add-ons as part of it.
With Leverkusen not budging on their price and looking for a solution soon, the next few days of negotiations could prove key to the player’s hopes of completing a move.
