David Luiz reportedly hit Dani Ceballos in a shocking training ground row during the international break and staff had to step in to stop the fight
Luiz and Ceballos were among the group of Arsenal stars who were not away on international duty and they continued training under Arteta.
The Arsenal manager organised a practice match last Friday but he would have been unimpressed with two of his player’s behavior.
According to The Athletic, Luiz was unhappy with a challenge from Ceballos and he retaliated by hitting him in the face, drawing some blood.
Luiz reportedly struck Ceballos on the nose, sending the midfielder to the ground, before other players and staff intervened as Ceballos stood up to confront the Brazilian defender.
Both players were sent home and Arteta oversaw their reunion on Tuesday when they settled the issue in the dressing room and apologised to the squad.
Ceballos is currently on his second campaign on loan at Arsenal, while Luiz moved to the Emirates in 2019 from Chelsea.

Earlier this season, Ceballos clashed with Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah in the build up to the Premier League match against Fulham.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta later played down the incident but said he was shocked to see the two players scrapping during a warm-up.
