Romelu Lukaku will undergo a Chelsea medical on Sunday before completing a £97.5m transfer move to his former team, according to reports.
Lukaku will return to Stamford Bridge in a club record deal and the player is expected to sign a five-year contract.
The Belgium international will earn around £11m-a-year, becoming the highest earner at the London club.
According to the Athletic, the Inter Milan striker has now been scheduled in for his medical in Belgium on Sunday ahead of the transfer.
Lukaku played for the Blues between 2011 and 2014 before sealing a move away to Premier League club Everton. He then turned down a return in favour of a move to Manchester United before leaving them in 2019 for Inter.
Under former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, Lukaku won Serie A last campaign and has established himself as one of Europe’s best strikers.
The Red devils will pocket £3.4m due to a sell-on clause which was inserted into his exit in 2019.

Lukaku had looked set to remain at the club this summer but Inter allowed him to leave after Chelsea made such a huge offer. He is now expected to arrive in London within 24 hours.
He will become the second most expensive transfer in British history after Jack Grealish’s £100 million move to Manchester City.
That figure could be topped if Harry Kane is successful in pushing through an exit away from Tottenham to join Man City.
