Karim Benzema’s agent sends clear transfer message to Chelsea

Karim Benzema’s agent has issued a clear message to clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal regarding the immediate future of the seasoned striker.

The 36-year-old had been contemplating his career path after a challenging six months in the Saudi Pro League with Al Ittihad.

Despite maintaining an impressive goal-scoring record, the Real Madrid legend faced conflicts with his now former manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

He even had to shut down his social media accounts due to a barrage of abuse from his own fans. Benzema’s reported discontent has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs seeking a recognized No.9 in the January transfer window.

Manchester United were the first to be linked with Benzema, a logical connection given their struggles in front of goal this season.

Chelsea, too, may be in search of a new center forward, especially with Christopher Nkunku’s recent fitness setback and Nicolas Jackson’s involvement in AFCON.

The Blues are said to be open to offers for Armando Broja, placing a £50 million valuation on the academy graduate amid interest from Wolves.

Meanwhile, Arsenal may face challenges securing their top target, Ivan Toney, this month despite his apparent U-turn earlier in the week.

Unfortunately for interested parties, Benzema seems almost certain to stay where he is for now, as reported by L’Equipe, stating that the former Ballon d’Or winner will ‘100% stay at Al-Ittihad.’

In contrast, Jordan Henderson successfully secured his exit from the Saudi Pro League on Thursday, completing his move to Ajax.

‘I’m sad to say that I will be leaving Al Ettifaq with immediate effect,’ the former Liverpool captain wrote on Twitter.

‘It wasn’t an easy decision but one that I feel is best for me and my family. I want to take this opportunity to thank the club & the fans for all the support during my time. I really felt the love from Day One.

‘I’ll keep watching & hoping for your success. Good luck for the future.’
