Edinson Cavani will reportedly sign for Manchester United after agreeing a two-year contract with the Premier League club.
The Uruguayan forward, will travel to Manchester on Sunday for a medical with a view to officially announcing the deal by Monday.
The 33-year-old left Paris Saint-Germain this summer after he spent seven years in France and he will now boost United’s attacking options.
It was reported that discussions had ‘accelerated’ between both parties earlier on Saturday but ESPN claim everything is now agreed.
Cavani is widely considered to be one of the world’s top strikers over the past decade after moving to PSG from Napoli.
The Red devils have been using Anthony Martial in the No. 9 role – a position Marcus Rashford can also play – with Odion Ighalo as the backup option.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen to sign another recognised striker to his team. He is also hoping to add a right winger, with Jadon Sancho his top target – but that seems very unlikely now.
Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele is being considered as an alternative to Jadon Sancho.
