Chelsea star Kai Havertz was quizzed on who the fastest player at the club is and couldn’t decide between two of his team-mates.
Havertz won the Champions League in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge and has been tipped to improve even further after a tough first few months in London.
He has now returned to Cobham after spending the summer with the Germany national team at the European Championships and is confident he will show his best form in the 2021/22 season.
Running the rule over the Chelsea team prior to the new Premier League season, Havertz was asked to name the fastest player at the club.
And the German player explained that Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger are both the quickest, but in different aspects. Havertz told Chelsea’s official channel: ‘From acceleration, like the first few metres, I would say Timo,’
‘But also Toni is very fast, but I think more across longer distances. ‘Who else? I’m not sure. I would go for Toni and Timo.’
Chelsea defender Rudiger, who was listening to his team-mate’s answers, added: ‘I have my own style of running.

‘Yeah, like Kai said I think in the first few metres it’s Timo. ‘But yeah when it comes to longer, I think it’s me.’
On the club’s goals this season, Havertz said: ‘I think we have all a lot of goals this season. The Champions League title is not enough for us, we want to win more and that’s our aim for the season.
‘We have a very good squad, we have good players. That is the same for the pre-season, that everybody will be fit and that we are ready to play.’
