Chelsea legend John Terry has sent a message to former Paris Saint-Germain skipper Thiago Silva ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge.
The veteran defender is set to join Chelsea on an initial one-year deal this week and he’s expected to be in London in the next 48 hours to undergo a medical.
Frank Lampard is keen to bolster his defence this summer after Chelsea’s leaky defense conceded 58 times last season and the club announced the signing of Ben Chilwell on Wednesday.
However, Thiago Silva is expected to join next and the Brazilian sent a farewell message to Paris Saint-Germain fans on Instagram before his exit.
‘The value of things is not in the time that they last, but in its intensity. For this reason, there are unforgettable moments, inexplicable things and incomparable people” (Fernando Pessoa),’ wrote Silva.

‘Today a cycle closes, after 8 years at @psg, I would like to thank my teammates, the entire technical team and management, the fans, my family, God and my friends, for all of the good moments we have lived in the City of Light.
‘Here, together with my wife, @bellesilva, we lived unforgettable moments, our children have grown up, we became French citizens, and we will forever bring these years lived in France in our hearts. Thank you so much’
Though Silva’s move is yet to be announced, but John Terry has all but let the cat out of the bag by commenting on his post.
The former England defender replied with a blue heart and the eyes emoji, clearly revealing that Silva’s move to the club is imminent.
According to reports, Thiago’s deal will include a 12-month extension clause, which could be activated at the end of next campaign.
