Juventus brutally mock Man Utd after Europa League exit

Juventus brutally mocked Manchester United on social media after Erik ten Hag’s side crashed out of the Europa League at the hands of Sevilla on Thursday.

Sevilla enjoyed a crushing 3-0 win over United in the second-leg quarter-final game at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in Spain.

United, who bottled a 2-0 lead in the first-leg tie at Old Trafford, were behind after just 10 minutes into the second-leg game after a howler from Harry Maguire.

Loic Bade increased Sevilla’s advantage only minutes into the second half after his header from an Ivan Rakitic corner beat David de Gea.

De Gea was at fault for Sevilla’s third goal after he charged out of his box and his poor clearance allowed En-Nesyri to slot the ball into the empty United net from 35 yards out.

Sevilla’s opponent for the Europa League semi-final stage will be Juventus, who dumped Sporting CP out of the quarter-finals on Thursday.

Juventus wasted no time in hilariously trolling Man United on TikTok after posting a parody clip from 2010’s Four Lions.

The clip shows the club crests of Juventus, Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen — all Europa League semi-finals — celebrating while the Red Devils watch on as Four Lions character Barry.

Speaking after Sevilla defeat, Christian Eriksen said United must change their “mentality” ahead of the FA Cup semi-final clash against Brighton on Sunday.

“A lot of things happened,” he told BT Sport. “We didn’t really give them a game from the first minute and we gave them a lot of opportunities to finish us off.

“We lost a bit of our coolness, we made more mistakes than we do usually and the whole team could not catch up with mistakes our teammates made.

“If you give away goals like we did, you lose, it’s nothing to do with the atmosphere.

“Our own game was not strong enough. It’s football, sometimes you have good days, sometimes you have bad days and it was a bad day. Luckily, we have a game in four days.

“Every football player makes mistakes, they punished us straight away. It’s how we bounce back and today we were not strong enough to bounce back from the mistakes.

“The mentality has to change, we know it will be a completely different opponent and different style so from tomorrow we will be focusing on Brighton.”
