Manchester United’s board have showed no sign of altering their stance on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future, with the coach expected to remain in charge for the trip to Watford after the international break.
The Red devils were well beaten by neighbours Manchester City on Saturday, as Pep Guardiola’s side dominated in a fashion that was much more greater than the 2-0 scoreline.
The defeat was United’s third in their last four games and it leaves them nine points behind the league leaders Chelsea after 11 matches played.

Solskjaer managed to survive the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool last month and he’s managed a win, a draw and a loss in the three games since.
The Norwegian manager has been unable to turn United’s results around and the confidence of the team appears shattered.
But the Guardian claim United have no plans to axe the former Molde head coach and he expects to be in charge for their next game, which is a trip to Watford after the international break.
Some United players are reported to be concerned with the lack of direction from Solskjaer and his coaching staff, with players feeling they lack a game plan in matches.
Bruno Fernandes is said to be one of the most concerned, while Cristiano Ronaldo is alarmed at the drop in standards at Old Trafford since he left in 2009.
Antonio Conte had been keen to take charge at United but they were concerned he represented a short-term fix and he joined Tottenham instead.
Mauricio Pochettino is a long-term target, while Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has admirers at the theatre of dreams.
