Paul Pogba is reportedly set to miss between eight to 10 weeks for Manchester United after suffering a thigh injury during training with France’s national team.

The Frenchman pulled up during a shooting drill on Monday and immediately left the pitch in order to receive treatment from the medical team.

After striking the ball, Pogba cried out in pain and could be seen visibly limping as he left the training session.

The Red devils players has now withdrawn from the squad ahead of France’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Finland.

According to RMC Sport, initial medical tests have revealed that Pogba’s injury will keep him out of football action for a period of eight to 10 weeks.

That means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without the midfielder for United’s tight fixture schedule over the winter period.

After the international break, United will play matches against Watford, Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, United’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League knockout stage is far from certain and Solskjaer’s team still have to play Villarreal away and Young Boys at Old Trafford in Group F.

Pogba was sent off in United’s 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on October 24 and missed the 3-0 victory over Tottenham and the 2-0 loss to Manchester City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The 28-year-old’s long-term future is also in huge doubt as he is yet to sign an extension to his contact which expires at the end of the campaign.
