Luis Suarez reportedly told Gerard Pique ‘do not f*** with me’ after Barcelona’s 4-3 loss to Real Betis on Sunday.
The Spanish champions suffered their second defeat in La Liga this campaign and are now only one point clear at the top of the table.
After the final whistle, several Barca players stood in the centre circle and that’s where the moment of tension between Suarez and Pique happened.
Spanish television channel Movistar caught Pique approaching Suarez before the Uruguayan said: ‘Now you’re going to f*** me for a pass, do not f*** with me.’
Pique quickly tried to spread the situation by replying: ‘Well, that’s it.’
Pique also had words with Arturo Vidal after a mix-up with him late in the match which cost Barcelona a chance.
Pique told Vidal: ‘If you say ‘mine’ it’s fine, but I have not heard ‘I’ in my life.’
Barcelona were two goals down in the first half before Lionel Messi scored a penalty in the 68th minute. Giovani Lo Celso restored Betis’ two-goal lead before Vidal’s goal brought the game to 3-2.
Ivan Rakitic was then sent off and Barca fell even further as Sergio Canales put Betis 4-2 ahead.
