Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi who is currently onn loan at Borussia Dortmund has conceded to breaking club rules while at the Bridge.
The Belgium international fell out of favour under Antonio Conte but has restored his reputation in the Bundesliga, scoring six goals in eight games for Dortmund.
The 24-year-old still has the hope of leading the blues attack in the future, probably when Conte leaves the club.
Batshuayi revealed he played futsal, a five-a-side football played on small hard courts, which was against the club rule.
Contracts of professional footballers often had clauses which prohibit players from potentially dangerous activities such as skiing, motorsport and futsal.
Michy Batshuayi revealed this in an interview with Onze Magazine: ‘At a club you’re not allowed to do it, but I played futsal (in the period that I wasn’t playing a lot). If I didn’t play futsal, I would have been dead. Now I’m admitting it, but I never told anyone at Chelsea.’
Antonio Conte wanted to make Batshuayi’s move to Dortmund permanent but this was blocked by the lub’s board earlier this year, which means the forward may have a future at Stamford Bridge.
