Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has eased fears over Kieran Tierney’s injury after the left-back missed the 2-1 victory over West Ham on Saturday.
The Scotland international was in line to start the game against the Hammers, but was pulled out at the very last minute due to a ‘muscular discomfort’ and was replaced in the team by Sead Kolasinac.
Tierney’s presence in defence and attack was missed as Arsenal struggled to a narrow 2-1 win against David Moyes’ side.
Arsenal struggled to get any passing rhythm going but took the lead against the run of play in the first half, with Aubameyang setting up Lacazette for a simple header which gave them the lead.
West Ham got a goal back through Michail Antonio on the stroke of half-time as they were eventually rewarded for their good performance.
Despite West Ham having the better chances in the second half, a good pass from Bukayo Saka set Ceballos free, who squared it for Eddie Nketiah to roll into an empty net, handing Arsenal their second consecutive victory in the Premier League.
Speaking after the game, the Spanish manager provided a positive update on Tierney. He said: ‘Kieran is fine. He had a little muscular discomfort in the last few days. He tried today and worked in the warm-up but he wasn’t feeling comfortable today.
