Former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is already taking no prisoners at Real Madrid as he snapped into a crunching tackle with Eden Hazard during training.
Hazard was left on the ground in huge pain as Rudiger caught his former Chelsea teammate on the left ankle.
The incident left a number of Madrid players with their hands on their heads as Rudiger went over to check on Hazard.
The 31-year-old started just seven matches in La Liga last season due to an ijury to his right ankle which needed a surgery.
Rudiger, meanwhile, arrived at Santiago Bernabeu this summer after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer.
Speaking earlier this week, Hazard insisted that he is out to prove his worth at Madrid. ‘I want to show people that I can play in this club,’ Hazard told ESPN.
‘It’s been a few seasons that I was not playing that much, so for me … I just want to show what I can do on the pitch, that’s my only target.
‘It’s been three years [which have been] hard for me, so I’m just focused on this season. I still have a contract after two more years, and then we’ll see.
‘In two years I’m going to be 33, so let’s see what can happen.’
