Frank Lampard reportedly told Mason Mount to ‘stop f***ing about’ in the first half of Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Sheffield United.
Chelsea went a goal down after David McGoldrick’s early opener, but the blues were in front by half time with goals from Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell.
Thiago Silva and Timo Werner als0 scored in the second half to complete Chelsea’s win which has pushed the club up to fifth in the Premier League.
But according to The Telegraph, Lampard was furious with Mount’s start to the match and told him to ‘stop f***ing about’ in possession.
The report claims that Lampard also instructed Mason Mount to deliver the ball quicker to Hakim Ziyech and Reece James in wide positions.
And this appeared to do the trick as Ziyech was named man of the match for his good performance as he provided two assists and was even unfortunate to not get a third after Werner put his effort wide despite being through on goal.
‘My role now is trying to get them on the ball to do what they do,’ Mount said after Chelsea’s fourth Premier League win of the campaign.

‘I have gone back into midfield, which is something I played a lot last season. ‘For us midfielders we want to get up and get involved, but also to be ready if we do lose the ball to win it back.’
Mount also heaped praises on Ziyech’s early impact at Chelsea and believes the winger is a ‘world-class player’.
‘He is a brilliant player,’ the England international said. ‘He comes into the team and he knows what he can bring with his quality left foot.
‘He brings something new to the team which is brilliant for us. ‘the gaffer always speaks about having the competition to keep our standard high and Hakim is a world-class player coming in.’
