Recognized as a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s team, the 25-year-old midfielder was appointed as captain in July 2022.
While there’s no indication of Odegaard transferring to Manchester City, the topic was raised with Haaland during a recent press interaction.
When asked if City would be a ‘better team’ with his Norway international teammate Odegaard in the side, Haaland said: ‘Yes, I think so.
‘There’s a good player, and a player that plays for our rivals.
‘He’s just signed a new contract, so it’s not a topic, but at City we have a lot of best players in the world.’
Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard are representing Norway in upcoming friendlies against the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Following their international commitments, the two will face off when Manchester City welcomes Arsenal on March 31.
Pep Guardiola has likened the encounter to a ‘final’, emphasizing its significance in the heated contest for the Premier League title.
