Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has vowed never to play for either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid when he eventually decides to leave.
The Argentine forward almost forced his way out of the Nou Camp last summer window and his current contract at the club will expire in six months.
This has led to more speculation about Messi’s next move in his career. With discussions over a new deal yet to begin, And he has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
But, there are two clubs he would not consider signing for of he leaves Barca. He said: “It’s impossible for me to leave for Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid. I’ve always said I’d like to enjoy the experience of living in the United States. But I don’t know if it will happen or not.”
“If I ever leave, I would like to return to Barça and Barcelona. When I retire, I would like to return to the club to contribute my knowledge,” Messi said in quotes posted on the club’s official website
However, the Barcelona skipper has revealed he will make a decision over his future at the end of the current campaign.
Messi said: “Nothing will be crystal clear before the end of the year. I’ll wait until the season is over. What matters now is thinking about the team, finishing the year well and not being distracted by other things.

“I don’t know what will happen. I’m focused on what we have here and battling for whatever we can.
“I’m not thinking about how the year will end. As of today, it wouldn’t be wise for me to say what I’m going to do because I don’t know.”
