Jose Mourinho has denied falling out with Eden Hazard before being sacked by Chelsea during his second spell at the club.
Reports in the press had suggested a breakdown in their relationship in the weeks leading up to Mourinho’s sack in December 2015.
Mourinho had led Chelsea to the Premier League title during the previous campaign, with Hazard playing a key role, scoring 14 goals and providing nine assists in 38 games.
When asked about the alleged fallout, the former Chelsea manager told beIN Sports : “No, no, Hazard with me was voted the best player in the Premier League. He won the award.
“No, no way. I have a good relationship with him.”
Hazard revealed at the end of the 2015/16 campaign that he had sent a text message to Mourinho apologising for his bad form.
The Belgium international has less than 15 months remaining on his current deal at Chelsea and has yet to sign a new one.
Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Hazard, with the 28-year-old previously conceding it is his “dream” to play for the club.
Mourinho has also been linked with a summer switch to Madrid and recently admitted he would have no problem returning to his former club.
