Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was quick to hail Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe after his outstanding hat-trick against Barcelona.
The France international hit three past the La Liga giants in a 4-1 victory at the Camp Nou, which makes Mauricio Pochettino’s side favourites to reach the last-eight of the Champions League.
With Lionel Messi scoring for Barca but being outshone for the rest of the game, Mbappe’s performance was scintillating as the 33-year-old watched on as the Frenchman struck a hat-trick.
Mbappe’s performance against the Catalans certainly had the football world talking and Rashford was one of the most notable commentators, taking to his social media to praise the player.
‘What a performance,’ wrote Marcus Rashford, who tagged Mbappe in the twitter post and accompanied it with a ‘flame’ emoji.
Manchester United target Jadon Sancho also joined in on the act, describing Mbappe as a ‘big player’ and adding the ‘ice cold emoji’.
Paris Saint-Germain were beaten in last year’s final by Bayern and it remains their ultimate desire to win the Champions League for the first time in their history.
