RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is ready to sign for Liverpool if they pay his £52 million release clause before it expires on June 15.
But the Reds, like in the January window, do not intend to make a transfer move for the forward before his release clause expires.
Werner, whose release clause was inserted when he extended his deal with Leipzig last summer until 2023, described his pride at interest from Liverpool in February.
The German was close to signing for Bayern Munich last summer in a €30m deal and the league leaders remain interested in signing him.

Werner has also hailed Jurgen Klopp as “the best coach in the world” and believes the Reds’ style of play suits him amid reports of a switch to Liverpool.
The striker said: ‘They have Jurgen Klopp, the best coach in the world, who is German. There are a lot of things that would suggest that my playing style might be a good fit.’
He has scored 27 goals in all competitions this campaign for RB Leipzig, including four goals to help them reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
