Manchester United could make a fresh move for Gareth Bale as Real Madrid make decision to sell the Welshman.
The 28-year-old was benched for Real’s win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and was also a late substitute against Leganes.
Due to his injury, Bale has only started 13 games in all competitions this season and has struggled to impress when given playing time.
According to Marca, Madrid’s hierarchy have lost patience with Bale and already decided to sell him at the end of the season.
The report claims that despite the current inflation in transfer fees, Madrid do not expect to make a profit on Bale and would have accepted a £80m bid from United last summer.
Jose Mourinho had indicated that United would make a move for Bale, but only if Real Madrid suggested that the player was for sale.
However, United have since signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal and Mourinho has said that he is not looking for another attacker this summer.
According to reports, Madrid are keen for Bale to leave in order to allow his team-mate Marco Asensio reach his full potential.
