Chelsea will block Manchester United’s move to sign Christian Pulisic as they’re unwilling to let the American attacker join a rival.
The winger is keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge as he wants regular playing time before the World Cup, which starts in November.
United are scrambling around to sign players before the transfer window closes and they’ve identified Pulisic as a solution to their woes in front, with the American capable of playing on both sides of attack.
Pulisic, for his part, is open to a move to Old Trafford and United are keen to offer him a season-long loan to the club.
Chelsea are sympathetic to Pulisic’s decision to want to leave the London club and they will sanction his exit.
However, according to the BBC, the Blues will block United’s interest as they’re not willing to allow the player join a direct rival.
Though United have lost their first two Premier League games this campaign, Erik ten Hag’s side are looking to compete for a place in the top four.
Despite his injury issues, Pulisic remains a good player and the likes of Newcastle have expressed an interest in him.
Pulisic is keen to leave the club after the arrival of Raheem Sterling from Manchester CIty, which has pushed him further down the pecking order.
The Red devils have failed with bids to sign Antony from Ajax, while they’re yet to be successful in an offer for PSV player Cody Gakpo.
