Ajax confirm Man Utd target Van de Beek has made transfer agreement

Ajax already have transfer agreements with Donny van de Beek, Andre Onana and Tagliafico, meaning all will be allowed to leave, Erik ten Hag has confirmed.

Van de Beek has been linked with Manchester United, while Madrid are also interested in the midfielder.

A potential move to Chelsea for Onana has been mooted, while Arsenal and the Blues are also interested in Tagliafico, so all transfers seem possible.

‘The transfer market will start in August – the top leagues are now being played out, so the money flows are maintained,’ Ten Hag told Het Parool, via MEN.

‘The market value of players will be slightly depressed, but not much. Based on their performance and ambition, a number of our players also want to make the move abroad.

‘Agreements have been made with Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico, but it remains to be seen whether the market is indeed breaking loose.

‘For Onana and Van de Beek, another year of Ajax could certainly be an option, for Tagliafico it is slightly different because of his age.

‘In the preparation I am going to try Lisandro Martinez in that position. He has also played in midfield with us, but he is a defender.’

Nicolas Tagliafico and Andre Onana could leave the club this summer

Van de Beek was close to a deal being agreed to take him to Real Madrid for around £49m, before the coronavirus pandemic.

The Spanish side are now unwilling to spend that money and the Red devils are willing to strike if they can get him for around £36m, according to reports.

Ajax have already lost Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea and Ten Haag admits it will be hard to replace the winger.
