Moises Caicedo decides his next club with ‘final negotiations’ underway

Brighton midfielder Moises Caciedo is intent on signing for Chelsea this summer having informed Bayern Munich he is not interested in a move to the Bundesliga.

A number of Premier League teams are eager to sign the Ecuador international this summer with Brighton finally accepting his decision to leave.

Arsenal saw two offers rejected in January with the Gunners ending their interest in the 21-year-old this week as they prioritise a move for West Ham’s Declan Rice.

Manchester United are also monitoring the midfielder’s situation but according to Sky Germany, Caicedo has decided on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Bayern were also interested in the Premier League star with talks held with his management team over a move to the Allianz Arena.

But the German giants have accepted they have ‘no chance’ of luring him to the Bundesliga with Caicedo intent on remaining in England.

Brighton are said to be asking for at least £100million for the midfielder, with ‘final negotiations’ underway, according to the report.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea could use Conor Gallagher as a makeweight in any deal for Caicedo with the Seagulls expressing interest in the England international.

Chelsea activated Enzo Fernandez’s release clause to sign the Argentine star from Benfica in a £104m deal in January.

With both N’Golo Kante and Kovacic expected to leave the club this summer, the Blues have been eager to bring in a long-term partner for Fernandez in the middle of the park.

Mauricio Pochettino is also keen for the club to sign a new no 9 with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Villarreal’s Nicolas Jackson among those linked.

Chelsea are also in the market for a new goalkeeper with Andre Onana and Mike Maignan considered along with Brighton’s Robert Sanchez.
