Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has identified his main problem with the club ahead of their Europa League final against Villarreal next Wednesday.

The Red devils are set to square off with Villarreal in Gdansk next week Wednesday – after they put Roma to the sword in the semi-finals of the competition.

However, United have been unable to get a win in their last two matches – with a 1-1 draw against Fulham and a defeat against Leicester City.

He added another assist in the draw with Fulham, though Fernandes is not worried that the Red Devils have lost their way with their biggest game of the season just a week away.

And their player of the year, Fernandes, who has been vital to United’s Europa League run, has identified a huge problem for the Red Devils ahead of their cup final.

“We didn’t score the chances we had. Sometimes it’s our problem in games we draw and lose. We create many chances but we don’t score,” the Portuguese midfielder told Sky Sports after the Fulham game.

“The focus has been there. Today we conceded a goal, well played from Fulham I think. If you look through the performance I think we played really well.

“I think in the future I think this problem will change and now our focus has to be on the next game against Wolves. We then have three days before the final in the Europa League and I think we have enough to prepare well.”

However, the Portugal international has remained optimistic about United’s chances of winning the competition.

The Portuguese playmaker has hardly put a foot wrong since moving to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon over a year ago, and he has scored 28 goals and grabbed 18 assists in all competitions.

And alongside the in-form Edinson Cavani – he has every right to be confident to win his first European gold.
