Manchester United have added Eric Ramsay to their coaching staff with Solskjaer keen to freshen up his backroom team for the new campaign.
The former Chelsea youth coach will be in charge of set-pieces and work one-to-one with players.
‘We’ve been fortunate enough to convince Eric Ramsay to come and join,’ said United manager Solskjaer.
‘We’re excited, he’s young, fresh and with new ideas, an innovative coach we know from before.’
Ramsay moved to Shrewsbury as head of youth in 2017 before becoming an academy manager and now a senior assistant coach.
He then joined the Blues in 2019 to work with the club’s Under-23s.
Ramsey will work closely with players like Luke Shaw whose dead ball prowess has improved over the course of the last one year.

The United left-back demonstrated his set-piece ability with England at Euro 2020, providing the assist for Harry Maguire’s goal against Ukraine.
Shaw capped an outstanding month with a goal in the final against Italy, and was unlucky not to be in UEFA’s team of the tournament.
Despite Sunday’s final ending in defeat, Solskjaer has been thrilled at the way in which the player has turned his career around.
‘I’m so happy for Luke. I was watching it and ‘what’s just happened?” Solskjaer said in reference to Shaw’s goal. ‘He started the attack and we’ve encouraged him to get into the last third.
‘We know how technically gifted he is and skilful he is and he hit the ball very, very sweetly. He keeps his eye on the ball, straight laces and it’s margins again – off the post and in, not off the post and out.
‘That’s football for you. Luke deserves all the luck he can get. He’s had a tremendous couple of years with us.’
