Man Utd offer Alexis Sanchez in bid to seal Jadon Sancho transfer

Manchester United have offered Alexis Sanchez to Borussia Dortmund in part exchange deal to sign Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The Chilean winger is currently out on loan at Inter Milan and the Red devils are keen to offload the massive earner from their club.

Sanchez pockets £500,000 per week as a United player and has experienced the same fitness and consistency problems in the Italian Serie A as he did at Old Trafford.

It is no secret United are desperate to land Sancho from Dortmund, but the England international is valued at well over £100m by the German club.

Sancho has two years left on his current deal and is keen for a new challenge, although the ongoing coronavirus crisis might force him to delay any transfer move for another year.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United are trying to reach an agreement with Dortmund and have offered Dortmund several players as part of the deal.

Alexis Sanchez is one of them and there is optimism the club could be interested despite his huge wages.

Inter Milan are unlikely to pick up the option of signing Sanchez permanently when his loan expires at the end of the campaign.

It was revealed this month that Sanchez would be interested in returning to Chile. The 31-year-old has scored only a goal whilst on loan at Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan.

Dortmund have signed underperforming stars from big clubs before and helped rejuvenate their careers, a notable example is former Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer.

United continue to monitor Sancho, who has scored 17 goals and provided 18 assists in 39 matches for Dortmund this season.

Sancho is yet to start in the three games Dortmund have had since restart of the Bundesliga due to a minor calf injury.
