Arsenal star Thomas Partey is believed to be nearing a return to action as he continues his recovery from injury, according to reports.
The 27-year-old midfielder was forced off at half time in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat against Aston Villa last Sunday due to a thigh issue.
Partey was supposed to link up with Ghana during the international break but he has remained at the Emirates for further tests and treatment.
According to Goal’s Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts, a source close to the Ghanaian star reports that Partey is ‘feeling pretty confident’ that is injury is only minor and he will be back very soon.
Arsenal’s first match straight after the international break is their clash with Leeds United in the Premier League next Sunday. The gunners will then face Molde in the Europa League on November 26.

However, former Arsenal forward Kevin Campbell has urged the club to sign Leicester City midfielder Wilfried Ndidi to help Partey flourish in the team.
‘You could say, ok if Thomas Partey is going to move a bit further forward, go out and get Ndidi to sit in there,’
Campbell told Highbury Squad. ‘No problem, but it just depends, you can either get an [Houssem] Aouar who gets further forward, or you get an Ndidi type so that Partey can do box-to-box.’
