Bruno Fernandes furious with Man Utd over transfer failure

Bruno Fernandes is reportedly furious with Manchester United’s board over their approach to the summer transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer missed out on his priority target as Jadon Sancho stayed at Borussia Dortmund, with the Red devils failing to meet the Bundesliga side’s £107.8 million asking price.

United were forced into a late transfer activity on deadline day as Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo, who will join in the January window, were all signed.

Donny van de Beek also signed for United in a £39m deal from Ajax earlier in the transfer window but the playmaker is yet to start any Premier League match this season.

According to Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast, Fernandes is angry with United over their business in the summer window and believes they did not match the expectations he had when he arrived at the club.

According to reports, Fernandes believes that United have not signed any player who will improve the team to a level that will make them compete with clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City.

This report comes after the Portuguese midfielder vented his frustration towards his United teammates at half time during their 6-1 humbling defeat to Tottenham before the international break.

It has been reported that Fernandes yelled at United’s players saying: ‘we are supposed to be Manchester United. This shouldn’t be happening.’

The Portugal international is also believed to have been critical of Solskjaer’s tactical approach to the game against Spurs.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already lost two out of their opening three Premier League matches and will be looking to get back on track against Newcastle on Saturday.
