Arsenal could complete the signing of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona for a fee of only £9million, according to reports.
The Brazil international is not believed to have a future at Barcelona after struggling to live up to expectations since his big-money transfer move from Liverpool in 2018.
Coutinho spent this campaign on loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga side are not interested in making the deal permanent.
The Independent claim Barcelona would be willing to allow Coutinho join Arsenal for £9m with Matteo Guendouzi going the other way.
Guendouzi has not played for Arsenal since he lost his cool in the defeat to Brighton in June, and it is believed that Arteta wants him to leave.
Barcelona are reported to be interested in Guendouzi, and believe the player could resurrect his career at the Camp Nou.
The deal could be one which suits both teams, although it may depend on whether Arsenal qualify for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Tottenham are also believed to be interested in signing Coutinho, but it is not clear whether Daniel Levy would sanction the transfer.
If Coutinho joins Arsenal, he would definitely fill the hole left in the squad since Mesut Özil has stopped being selected to play for the club.
However, One possible obstacle to this deal is Juventus’ interest in Guendouzi, with a swap deal involved too.
